It starts with fire. This is the title of the text by Magali Mougel that Anne Bisang will create at the beginning of November. It could also have served as a declaration of intent at the dawn of the new season of the Théâtre populaire romand (TPR) in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Tuesday, at L’Heure bleue, the musician Keren Ann and the actress Irène Jacob will have a musical and poetic dream, in Where are you? Led by Joëlle Bouvier, they will greet Leonard Cohen and Charles Bukowski, Billie Holiday and Paul Eluard.
A string of small black diamonds. “We fumble around a lot before finding the show to open the season,” says the director of the TPR. “It has to be a celebration in itself, it has to excite, move, make us want to come back. Irène Jacob and Keren Ann form an ultra-sensitive and fervent duo, at the service of the words of poets. They celebrate their power to inspire. We need this fire to escape everything that distracts us elsewhere.”
