The idea that social media stars will do anything for money is a cliché, but there is sometimes a grain of truth behind it. Nikocado Avocado (real name: Nicholas Perry) is proof of this. The 32-year-old rose to fame by consuming huge amounts of food in front of the camera. Because he thinks that’s what people want to see.
After seven months of silence, he has now caused a huge surprise: Nikocado Avocado has lost a lot of weight. His latest YouTube video has shot to number one in the trends.
Scandalous YouTuber causes massive surprise and goes viral
At the weekend, Nikocado Avocado presents himself on his YouTube channel much slimmer, or more precisely, he is almost unrecognizable. 4.1 million people follow him on the platform, After one day, the latest clip had been viewed more than 22 million times.

Pasta, burgers, chicken wings, and all in gigantic portions: For years, Nikocado Avocado had literally destroyed his body for clicks and the whole world could watch. The dubious online phenomenon is called “Mok-Bang” and first became popular in South Korea in the 2010s.
Now the influencer is going back. The comments on YouTube include:
“This is probably one of the biggest twists in YouTube history, if not the biggest.”
Nikocado Avocado poses puzzles on YouTube
The YouTuber himself claims to have lost 250 pounds in weight, which is about 113 kilograms. That’s a massive achievement in just seven months. However, he leaves other important questions unanswered. It remains unclear how exactly he was able to lose so much weight in such a short time. Nikocado Avocado simply explains that he woke up from a “bad dream”.
So it’s not surprising that theories are now circulating on social media – also in view of the fact that he already cryptically claimed in an older video that he was “two steps ahead”.
What he might have meant: In reality, his videos were pre-recorded, so the weight loss process actually took much longer. He fuels such speculation with new statements such as: “This was the greatest social experiment of my life.”
“Every year again,” one would almost like to write, if it were not so cynical. Luke Mockridge disappeared from the scene for a while, but he did some verbal slander and was suddenly more popular than ever. His new program is called “Funny Times,” and what is “funny” is, of course, in the eye of the beholder.
