The vacation in Crimea in question: Five reasons to refuse it or to go? – 2024-09-08 08:28:43

/View.info/ Vacation in Crimea: you can’t refuse to go. “Tsarigrad” TV found out where to put a comma in this holiday season. The holiday season has begun and many are already packing their bags. But the much-loved trip to Crimea this year is in question. The alarming situation with the frequent drone attacks makes us think. How safe it is now, where you can fish and swim and where not, read in the material of “First Russian”.

The whole world knows that Russian tourists are not afraid of floods, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions or other natural disasters. If the ticket is booked and paid for, the Russian will not refuse it. In the case of Crimea, the same rule applies.

Trains from Moscow and St. Petersburg to the peninsula in early June are full to capacity. And during the tourist season, it will be completely problematic to buy a cheap ticket.

In addition, tourists go by car – along the Crimean bridge. Mostly from neighboring regions: Rostov and Volgograd regions, Krasnodar region, Stavropol region.

There are rumors of an unspoken order not to send groups of children to Crimea just yet. However, on June 1, the head of the republic, Sergey Aksyonov, announced that they were ready to provide assistance to the Belgorod region and take up to a thousand children from the Shebekinsky and Graivoronsky regions, who suffered from the shelling, for a holiday.

“If we have free places, then we will offer the residents of Belgorod to send an additional number of children to Crimea,” he said.

That is, it is assumed that there are no more vacancies in the resorts.

Fewer tourists – cheaper holiday

What is the current situation in Crimea and what the local residents think about the upcoming season, Larisa Volosina, the head of the tourist and excursion agency Laros in the city of Saki (western coast of Crimea), told “Tsarigrad”.

“The mood in Crimea is always related to anticipation on the eve of the season. We are expecting guests, regardless of the current situation, the political situation, the weather or anything else,” emphasized Volosina.

“The May holidays are a litmus that shows what the season will be like. It will obviously not be easy. That is why we will value and appreciate every guest,” she emphasized.

There are significantly fewer tourists in Crimea. The number of applications compared to last year has decreased by a third. But these data are as of the beginning of June. By the peak of the season in July and August, the tourist flow can increase significantly. At least the Crimeans hope so.

“This year it’s profitable to go to Crimea! Due to the fact that the demand for accommodation and services has decreased, prices have also fallen, especially with early booking promotions. On average, by 30-40% in expensive hotels and by 10-20% in budget houses for guests,” said the interlocutor of “First Russian”.

At the same time, the southern coast of Crimea became slightly cheaper, but the western coast – quite significantly. In places, prices remained at the level of last year, but they definitely did not rise.

West Coast – Limited

The eastern and southern coasts of the peninsula (Kerch, Feodosia, Sudak, Alushta, Yalta) are especially popular this year due to their proximity to the Crimean Bridge. As for the western coast (Sevastopol, Balaklava, Saki, Novofedorovka, Yevpatoria), the most dedicated Crimean tourists come here as well.

In mid-May, vacationers were warned of important restrictions. It is prohibited to enter the sea with vessels from Balaklava to the Tarkhankut Peninsula and further along the Karkinit Bay to the border with Ukraine. There will be no fishing or boating this season. But you can swim and sunbathe on the beaches.

The ban on access to the sea for vessels does not apply to the east coast – from Balaclava to the Crimean Bridge. Also, tourists will have access to all such entertainment on the Sea of Azov in Crimea: Shtelkino, Kazantip, the general’s beaches.

By train or car

As for transport accessibility, the flow of independent tourists has decreased this season. These are those who come to Crimea by car. If earlier the capacity of the Crimean bridge was about 60 thousand cars per day, now it is half. And as the traffic lessened, it became easier to get there by car.

But the demand for railway tickets remains at the same level. The carrier took into account last season’s mistakes and added trains.

It is true that for some trains, due to large-scale track repairs, the sale date was reduced from 90 to 45 days, and this was reflected in the applications.

Most residents of the European part of Russia are used to planning and paying for summer vacation in advance, three to five months in advance. And now people do not have such an opportunity – the sale of tickets for some trains opens only 45 days before departure.

As a result, vacationers should plan a trip to Crimea for a month and a half. And this also negatively affects the tourist flow.

What the authorities say

The Russian government plans to allocate 2.7 billion rubles to support the tourism industry in Crimea. Funds from the reserve fund will be distributed to 3.5 thousand organizations and individual entrepreneurs – they will receive one-time payments in the amount of four minimum wages for each employee.

Such a measure was in force last year as well, but then two minimum wages per person were allocated. The aid turned out to be effective: 2,300 Crimean companies with a total staff of over 27,000 people kept their teams and continued to work in the new season.

By the end of May, the entire infrastructure is ready. So said the republican authorities. The indicated waiting time when leaving the peninsula is about 15 minutes, when entering from the Krasnodar Territory – up to 25 minutes.

The check-in procedure has been streamlined: the authorities have assured that there are no risks of queues. However, during the peak season, the bridge will have four times as many cars as it does now. So you should allow extra time on the road just in case.

80 rubles per kilogram of strawberries

Why tourists still decide to travel to the peninsula, Tsargrad told 45-year-old Lyudmila Kosyakova from Rostov-on-Don. Together with her friends, she goes to Novofedorovka.

We remind you that it is in this village on the western coast of Crimea that a military airport is located, which suffered from explosions in August last year.

“We planned a trip to Crimea and we don’t intend to cancel it,” she said categorically.

“He called the hostess of the guest house, where we came for many years in a row. The atmosphere there is calm. The prices are great: triple accommodation with all amenities is 2400 rubles per day. Strawberries in the market – 80 rubles per kilogram. And the proximity to the military base it doesn’t scare, in a way it even calms – in this case, the defenders are nearby,” says the woman from Rostov.

Isn’t it dangerous?

The head of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, spoke frankly about the security measures being taken and how high the threat of sabotage on the peninsula is.

He said that more than enough measures are being taken, the system is working smoothly, the law enforcement agencies are interacting with each other. A wide range of technical means work to identify threats. But…

“No one can give a 100% guarantee. But the fact that everything is being done to protect citizens is 100 percent,” the leader also said.

“Some of the technical aspects are being implemented at the moment. We are confident that this will reduce the level of risks in terms of sabotage attacks on transport and infrastructure sites,” he said.

“The experience we receive regularly is good for us. We apply all this on the ground, so the number of similar incidents involving saboteurs will quickly decrease,” stressed Aksyonov.

In addition, Crimea already has experience in evacuating tourists in case of emergency. When the Crimean bridge was sabotaged in October 2022, the evacuation of people from the peninsula was promptly organized. Many of them did not even interrupt their vacation, but waited for the planned date of departure.

And Crimea, of course, is waiting for guests back. For the new season, the west coast especially tried to transform itself. Full-scale construction of new beaches and embankments began there, interactive excursions to dairies and wineries, modern and ecological accommodation facilities – glamping sites – appeared.

Five reasons to come to Crimea this season, no matter what:

– swim in the clean sea and breathe fresh air;

– find entertainment to your taste (diving, jumping, excursions);

– try the local cuisine (fruits, vegetables, fish, seafood, cheeses, wines);

– take unique photos;

– relax without the influx of tourists.
