Finding blood donors is always a problem for the friends and family of a sick person, and even more so when it is an unusual type. That is what Oscar Saúl Ortiz Fuentes, a resident of Barrio de la Llamarada, is currently experiencing. He is a businessman and is looking for O Negative or B Negative blood for his brother-in-law.
Eduardo Pantoja is the name of Oscar’s friend, who has serious prostate problems. Although he has not lost blood, he does need it for the surgery.
The problem is that the transfusion he needs is a very special type of blood. “For us it is a more difficult situation, we need the right type of donors, because it has been very difficult for all of us. My friend is 63 years old, and we hope that we will be supported in some way.”
Saul says he is doing everything possible to support his friend and compadre, and to successfully complete the operation, which he is currently on the waiting list for at the High Specialty Hospital.
La Llamarada, the neighborhood where Óscar Saúl and Eduardo Pantoja live, is one of the oldest and most characteristic of León, which has gone around the world for being the place where the traditional burning of Judas takes place during the Holy Week season.
