Mexico City.- Javier Aguirre will make his third stint as coach of the Mexican National Soccer Team debut when he faces New Zealand this Saturday, September 7, in a friendly match that will be played at the ‘Rose Bowl’ stadium in Pasadena, California (United States).

This week, ‘Vasco’ Aguirre had his first three training sessions with El Tri, in a training camp at the High Performance Center in Mexico City.

The match against New Zealand will allow Aguirre to begin to shape the team with which he will compete next November in the Concacaf Nations League and thus continue to shape the Aztec team for the 2026 World Cup.

The Basque will have a luxury partner in his coaching staff, as Rafael Márquez left his adventure in Europe at Barcelona to contribute to the Mexican National Team in this new stage.

The match where Javier Aguirre will make his debut, Mexico vs. New Zealand, is scheduled for 7:00 pm Central Mexico; and can be followed on Channel 5, TUDN and ViX. (EL HERALDO)
