/ world today news/ “Gazprom” has returned 56 billion rubles to its partners on the project for the construction of the marine part of the South Stream gas pipeline, according to the company’s report.
To the Italian company ENI “Gazprom” has restored 20% of the share of the project or 22.4 billion rubles. France’s EDF and Germany’s Wintershall, which each have a 15% stake in the project, were reimbursed 16.8 billion rubles each.
At the beginning of December 2014, Gazprom announced the termination of the South Stream project.
The three aforementioned companies are partners of “Garzprom” in the joint company “South Stream Transport BV”, which was supposed to build the gas pipeline along the bottom of the Black Sea from Russia to Bulgaria. /TASS
