Leos Hoplop, which runs Suomen Hoploppe and Leo’s Leikkimai, seems to continue operating the indoor playgrounds normally for the time being, despite filing for corporate reorganization.
– All parks are open as before. We review all our leases and operating costs during the renovation. If there are any changes to our parks, we will get back to it after we have finalized the agreements with our landlords, Leos Hoplop’s Marketing Director Gabriel Bergqvist reply to Iltalehti by e-mail.
Bergqvist does not directly answer the question whether the renovation will affect ticket prices. He replies that the company regulates ticket prices regularly just like any other company focused on consumer sales.
The marketing director does not deny that the restructuring will cause staff reductions. According to Bergqvist, the reductions will not affect customer safety, which is a priority.

The merger paid off
In its press release, the company said that the corona pandemic, the war in Ukraine and inflation had affected the chain’s financial difficulties. In 2022, the company made losses of 1.4 million euros, according to Kauppalehti.
– Cash flow and income are no longer strong enough to cover the changing operating costs, says Bergqvist.
Hoplop and the Swedish Leo’s Leikkimaa merged last year. According to Bergqvist, the merger strengthened the company’s financial position. He says that the merger was well received and that it accelerated ticket sales because the park network grew.
– We have no plans to separate the brands. Both continue to operate. If there are any changes to this, we will inform you about it.
The company says that the restructuring will not make any changes to the usability of already purchased gift cards, season tickets or series tickets.
From the communication of the Finnish Competition and Consumer Agency (KKV), it is stated that the rights of consumers are determined in situations of company restructuring on the basis of the Restructuring Act, in which case the means provided by the Consumer Protection Act are limited.
As a general guideline, KKV recommends that consumers follow the announcement of the company that applied for the restructuring procedure.
