The presenter gave an interview to the radio station La Kalle and relived the traumatic experience he had when a brain tumor affected his son in 2018. He also said that of all the obstacles they had had to endure, this had been the most devastating, but in the face of his wife’s new battle with cancer, his response is surely different today. “I think we have had several difficult moments, but one that definitely left its mark on me was in 2018, when my son got sick,” Calero said.
His son was 13 years old when he was diagnosed. The family did not give up and, against all odds, they fought to give Carlos Jr. a quality of life. The minor underwent all the medical treatments prescribed by the specialists.

A few days ago, Paula Ceballos, wife of Carlos Calero, announced that she was diagnosed with breast cancer a month ago. She made the announcement through an emotional video in which she appears with her family.
The communicator expressed that she was calm and that she will face the situation with her loved ones. “This is nothing to be alarmed about, I will love my bald head and I will show it off with pride,” she said in the video. Recently, she shared another recording, this time saying goodbye to her hair to continue with her cancer treatment.
