Todd Boehly, Chelsea chairman since 2022, could already leave the English club due to disagreements with other Blues shareholders.

However, the American investment company is in a strong position, as it has a majority stake (61.5%, compared to 13% for Boehly), and has no intention of selling its assets. On the contrary, the bosses of Clearlake Capital would like to take over the shares of Todd Boehly, with whom there are serious disagreements regarding the sports policy to be implemented.

Maresca starts slowly

Since the arrival of the new owners, Chelsea have spent a lot of money in the transfer window, giving the impression of accumulating players without much visibility behind them.

And the results are not following. Chelsea finished sixth in the Premier League last May, 28 points behind champions Manchester City.

With new coach Enzo Maresca, the Blues have one win for every defeat and draw in the new season after three league games.
