The handball players of the Stralsunder HV (SHV) will play their first home game in the third North-East league on Saturday. The guests are the second team of the Füchse Berlin. The Stralsunder handball players want to score points at home after their opening defeat last weekend. The first away game of the season against the HC Burgenland from Saxony-Anhalt was lost by a clear 26:32 after a weak second half. The SHV started the season with Silvio Krause as the new coach. He now wants to work on the mistakes and strengthen the cohesion within his team. Kick-off for the second game of the season is Saturday at 6 p.m. in the Stralsunder Vogelsanghalle.

The footballers of Greifswalder FC (GFC) have to prove themselves in the state cup on Friday evening. The defending champions are travelling to Mecklenburg to play SG Ludwigslust/Grabow. Here the signs seem clear: The regional league team from Greifswald is the clear favourite in the match against the seventh division team. The match starts at 8 p.m. GFC coach Lars Fuchs wants to rest some of his regular players for the cup match. There are two league matches next week.
