Territorial and functional organizations can apply for the Agrosuper “Community Development” Neighborhood Fund program until September 13. This is an initiative, carried out in conjunction with Fundación La Semilla, which seeks to contribute to and strengthen the operating conditions of different groups through the provision of resources for the acquisition of equipment, infrastructure development and recovery of public spaces.
The invitation will consider entities from 17 municipalities in the O’Higgins, Valparaíso and Metropolitan regions where Agrosuper has production facilities. In the case of the RM, groups from San Pedro, Melipilla and Curacaví may apply, while in O’Higgins, those belonging to Mostazal, Graneros, Codegua, Rancagua, Machalí, Doñihue, Requínoa, Rengo, La Estrella, Las Cabras, San Vicente and Peralillo may apply. Finally, in the case of the Valparaíso Region, the invitation is addressed to the municipalities of Casablanca and Santo Domingo.
Within the framework of this initiative, the person in charge of the “Fondo Vecino” program of Agrosuper, Camila Mallea, explained that the call will be developed in two modalities. “The first, considers the financing of community equipment, allowing organizations to acquire the furniture they need, and the other line corresponds to infrastructure projects, such as the remodeling of a facility or the construction of new works,” she explained.
In the case of the competitive fund for equipment, the winning organizations will be awarded an amount of $500,000. Meanwhile, in the case of organizations that apply for infrastructure projects, they may receive a contribution of up to $1,000,000.
