We recently explained how the reformed European cups work, what changes in the calculation of the coefficient are related to it, and today we will talk more about why you should be interested in the performance of the Czech national team in the League of Nations.
UEFA introduced it to make representation windows in the term sheet more attractive. Instead of friendlies, a regular competition is now played, in which the Czech Republic has already (unsuccessfully) tried its hand at the highest level. Now the Czech national team is back in the B League of Nations with the ambition to return to the A League.
For that, you need to win the group with Albania, Georgia and Ukraine, or at least be second. The first goes up a level straight away, the second plays a playoff against one of the four teams that finish in third place in the A groups.
But we can also go down a level if we finish third or fourth in the current group. From the fourth place there is a direct relegation to the top-tier League of Nations, from the third place there is a playoff with one of the second teams from the third category.
