Prisca Awiti and Osmar Olvera receive incentives for medals in the Olympic Games

Mexico City. Osmar Olvera would love to win the National Sports Award. After winning two medals at the Paris Olympics, the diver was happy to be considered for the award.

“I don’t really know if I was nominated, but it would be incredible to be awarded such a special prize. I feel very happy about everything I have experienced since I got on the podium,” he said.

During an award ceremony, in which he received a financial incentive along with judoka Prisca Awiti, the capital native also commented that he hopes to soon receive his scholarship from Conade.

“I recently met with Ana Guevara and it seems that this matter will soon be resolved. I hope that this issue will no longer be a problem because the resources are needed.”

Osmar is currently in a period of active rest and will return to training in the pool in mid-October.

Awiti, who won silver in Paris, reiterated her intention to become an example that dreams do come true.

“Our life now is like that of a rock star, it is a huge responsibility because we inspire the new generations.”

The selected player was surprised by the support of the Mexicans, who have paid tribute to her since she climbed onto the podium.

“It is a very beautiful side of Mexico that I am learning about. I belong to a very warm country that rewards effort.”

Osmar and Prisca received 200 thousand pesos from a financial group.
