The iconic Australian supermodel Elle Macpherson has decided to open up to the world by sharing very personal aspects of her life through her memoirs. At 60 years old, the businesswoman and philanthropist has revealed details that she had kept secret until now, such as her fight against breast cancer, a diagnosis he kept private for years. In his book, Macpherson details how he chose an alternative approach to dealing with the illness.
Last Tuesday, Elle surprised her followers by publishing the first image of his book, along with a fragment that offers a preview of its contents: “This open-hearted book recounts the experiences that empowered Elle to overcome challenges, illnesses, and internal conflicts.” One of the most striking moments is her breast cancer diagnosis seven years ago, which only her inner circle was aware of. In the episode titled “Don’t sweat the small stuff,” the model reveals how she dealt with the news: “It was a shock,” Elle admits.
Macpherson reveals that he consulted with 32 specialists, who recommended chemotherapy, but she decided to follow a different path, based on integrative medicine and her own intuition: “It was the most difficult decision of my life, but ignoring my instinct would have been even more complicated,” she explains. Macpherson had already expressed his skepticism towards vaccines some time ago.and during his treatment, he retreated to a beach in Miami to meditate, pray and follow the instructions of his doctor, who specialized in alternative therapies and lifestyle changes.
The healing process was not easy, and although some of her loved ones did not support her decision, Elle found support in Olivia Newton-John, who was also facing her own battle with cancer. “We shared our experiences, even though we followed different paths,” says Elle, grateful for Newton-John’s friendship and support. Today, Macpherson is in remission and says she feels fine, she recently told Women’s Weekly.
On a personal level, Elle divorced tycoon Jeffrey Soffer in 2017 and is currently in a relationship with musician Doyle Bramhall. Known worldwide as ‘The Body’ for its perfect proportions, She is a mother of two children, Flynn and Aurelius Cy, the result of her relationship with French businessman Arpad Busson.
