This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin after a meeting with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, who is visiting Moscow.
“In the case of a positive decision by the Greek government on the project, it will change the geopolitical status of Greece by making it a major transit country for the whole of Southern Europe, and possibly for Central Europe as well. It will receive good money for transit, we are talking about hundreds of millions euro per year,” stressed Putin.
“Furthermore, Greece’s participation in “Turkish Stream” will allow the creation of new jobs and this will lead to additional income for the state from taxes at all levels. This is a serious large-scale and multi-billion dollar project,” he added. /TASS
