Open Municipality honored its neighborhood leaders with an evening at the Municipal Theater – G5noticias

A seminar was held in the town hall to reflect on and make visible the role of the local leaders in the commune. Roberto Nicolini, a well-known actor from Quilpue, was present at the event.

Within the framework of the Participatory Local Management Plan of the Open Municipality’s Neighborhood Development Department, the Quilpue city council held a seminar with the aim of generating spaces for training or discussion of topics associated with public affairs, and which require an informed, active and participatory community.

This activity seeks to generate an opportunity for reflection, visibility and questioning of the current living conditions in the community, highlighting the importance of collective work for the development of the territories.

In this regard, the Director of Community Development, Nikole Corcés, highlighted the event, indicating that the evening was enjoyed thanks to “an entertaining play, performed by a Quilpueíno actor with more than 40 years of experience, Roberto Nicolini, and also a discussion that invited us to connect with the Quilpué of yesteryear. For us as a municipality, we firmly believe in the fundamental role played by the leaders of our commune and that is why these types of events are essential.”

“We witnessed a very beautiful evening, a play, a seminar called “We are Quilpué, we are a community: the importance of identity for community development”, which arose within the framework of the recognition that we made as an Open Municipality to the work of social and community leaders, for the day of the social leader that was commemorated last August 7”, he added.

For her part, Lidia Cataldo, leader of the General Baquedano Residents’ Association, valued the activity, highlighting that the work that has been done so far is “thinking of us as leaders. This supports everything that Carolina (Mancilla, a professional from the Residents’ Association Department) has given us: tremendous support, always thinking of us, and that we feel better and that we can achieve more as neighborhood leaders.”

The Municipality of Quilpué has carried out extensive work with leaders in the commune, as a result of the territorial deployment that has had the objective of getting closer to the different communities and neighborhoods.
