Australian billionaire Elon Musk has hinted that he would be willing to join Donald Trump’s government if he is elected president of the United States in the November 2024 presidential election.
This was stated in a post on his official X account, in response to a post where a user of the social network refers to a news item from The Washington Post, which reports that Trump is considering involving prominent businessmen, including Musk, in the audit of federal agencies to identify programs that should be cut.
Responding to this post, Elon Musk wrote that he “can’t wait” for Trump to appoint him and that “there is a lot of waste and unnecessary regulation in the government that needs to go away.”
The CEO of SpaceX has publicly called for a vote for Donald Trump as an essential measure to ensure freedom of expression, safe borders and cities, and “sensible” public spending.
Musk’s closeness to the Republican Party and its policies is nothing new. The entrepreneur has even promised to contribute around $45 million a month to America PAC, a pro-Trump super political action committee.
Elon Musk has not only expressed his support for Donald Trump, but he is also commonly seen attacking the Democratic Party through his social networks, and he has assured that the Democrats, now led by Kamala Harris, want to end freedom of expression.
