infoRETAIL.- DIA Group is strengthening its commitment to sustainability by joining Unilever and Bosquia in an initiative to restore ecosystems affected by climate change. From September 4 to 24, for every product from Unilever’s clothing care brands (Mimosín and Skip) purchased at any DIA store in the country, a tree will be planted in degraded areas in Spain.
Thanks to this project, the company dedicated to reforestation projects Bosquia will plant a total of 365 native trees, one for each day of the year, covering an area of half a hectare, the equivalent of half a football field.
With this initiative, DIA reaffirms its commitment to local communities, promoting concrete actions that benefit both the environment and the people living in the areas near its stores.

“At DIA, our collaboration with manufacturers is key to offering a wide range of products where the customer chooses. Joining Unilever and Bosquia allows us to contribute, through our network of more than 2,300 stores, to a more sustainable environment, with initiatives as relevant as this one that contribute to generating a positive impact on our society,” highlights the Chief Communication & Sustainability Officer of Grupo DIA, Pilar Hermida.
For her part, Ana Palencia, director of Sustainability and Communications at Unilever Spain, points out that “the collaboration with DIA and Bosquia is a clear example of how such a simple joint action can make a big difference in protecting the planet.”
Finally, Bosquia founder Francisco del Cid adds that “the collaboration of these companies is crucial to promote sustainable practices on a large scale, since their commitment not only drives reforestation and ecosystem restoration, but also inspires other organizations to adopt environmentally responsible initiatives.”
