In Wednesday’s Russian attack on the western Ukrainian city of Lviv, seven people lost their lives, according to the balance sheet so far.
Server Novinarnia pointed out to the post of the mayor of the city, Andrije Sadový, on the Telegram social network. A politician there published a picture of the family of Jaroslav Bazylevych and stated that of the people photographed, only a man remained alive after the attack.
“Jevhenija’s wife and their three daughters – Jaryna, Daryna and Emilija – died in their own home,” he added. The girls were 21, 18 and seven years old. The father of the family is seriously injured.
“In the center of Europe, Russia is killing entire families of Ukrainians. The Russians are killing our children, our future. We are all with you today. My sincere condolences,” he added.
The Russians damaged more than 50 buildings during the shelling, many of which are located in the city center and are historical heritage. Mayor Sadovyj also reported on the damage to two medical facilities.
The attack came just a day after Russian invasion forces fired two ballistic missiles at Poltava. So far, reports from the authorities speak of 50 dead and more than 270 injured.
