Alexis Tsipras and his wife were at the Parliament in order to visit the National Bank branch, which is located on the ground floor of the Parliament Building.
It’s no secret that the natural leader of SYRIZA (if he continues to be called that) has avoided the limelight like hell since he stepped aside for the “new wave”. Even more so, now that the intra-party conflict is culminating in the prospect of a Central Committee.
It is no coincidence, therefore, that he chose to be in the Parliament on the day when there was no Plenary session on the schedule, wanting in this way his presence to pass under the journalistic radar.
Despite this, there was no lack of surprises. The former prime minister came face to face with his former closest associate, Dimitris Tzanakopoulos. According to eyewitnesses, the embarrassment was evident, which was also reflected in the formality with which they addressed each other.
From what it seems, the gap that was created between them – since the narrative of “subversives” was consolidated in the public debate without Al. Tsipras to intervene to put a stop to paraphilology – it remains unbridged.
