Chilean Music Day, the celebration stamped in law since 2015, prepares the details of its 2024 editionThe Chilean Society of Authors and Musical Performers (SCD) confirmed that it will perform a series of shows on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6 and revealed the artists who will participate in both days.
Although the anniversary falls on October 4, Violeta Parra’s birthday (it’s 107 years since her birth), the festivities will take place during the following weekend, in order to have two full days of celebration in the SCD halls of Bellavista and Egaña. Both will begin at 1:00 p.m. and end around 10:00 p.m., with free admission for the public (tickets available at Passline starting this Monday, September 9).
The programming is as varied as usualincluding exponents of the New Chilean Song, national rock and pop and urban and tropical sounds, as well as cueca and afrobeat.
On Saturday 5th at the SCD Egaña Hall, Inti-Illimani Histórico (13:00), Newen Afrobeat (15:00), Kuervos del Sur (17:00), De Saloon (19:00) and Banda Conmoción (21:00) will perform.
In parallel, Los Viking’s 5 will play at Sala SCD Bellavista (13:00)Dania Neko (15:00), Chini.png (17:00), Supernova (19:00) y Gufi (21:00).

Meanwhile, on Sunday the 6th, the room located in the Terrazas del Mallplaza Egaña (La Reina) has scheduled shows by Los Pulentos (1:00 p.m.), Quilapayún (3:00 p.m.), Cancamusa (5:00 p.m.) and Cristóbal Briceño and Grupo Crisis (7:00 p.m.).
The venue located on Santa Filomena Street in the Bellavista neighborhood will host the Concerts by Entremares (1:00 p.m.), La Pozze Latina (3:00 p.m.), Consuelo Schuster (5:00 p.m.) and La Brígida Orchestra (7:00 p.m.).
According to Rodrigo Osorio, president of SCD, this format of celebration “allows us to offer a different experience to music lovers, reclaiming the show in the hall and highlighting the important role that this type of venue plays throughout the year.”

Access to the 2024 Music Day shows will be with free tickets that must be downloaded in advance from the Passline platform. Each performance will have a different ticket, which will be available from noon on Monday, September 9. Thus, those who wish to attend more than one concert must download the respective ticket for each one, with a maximum of one per person.
