The Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba submitted his resignation, the speaker of the parliament said Ruslan Stefanchuk, in the context of the biggest government reshuffle that has taken place in the country in the last 30 months that the war with Russia has been raging.
Stefanchuk posted Kuleba’s resignation letter on Facebook.
On Tuesday, five Ukrainian government ministers submitted their resignations, while other government officials were dismissed. Now almost a third of ministerial positions remain vacant.
Stefanchuk indicated that the issue will be discussed later today in parliament, which is set to ratify the resignations.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that these changes are aimed at strengthening the country and achieving the results it seeks.
“The fall will be very important. State institutions must be structured in such a way that Ukraine achieves all the results it wants.” explained yesterday, Tuesday.
For his part, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov estimated that the reshuffle of the Ukrainian government will not affect the possibility of holding peace negotiations, the Russian news agency TASS reported.
“No, this will not affect in any way” the possibility of holding peace negotiations, Peskov emphasized.
