To postpone the meeting of the Central Committee of SYRIZA, which is scheduled for the coming weekend of September 7 and 8, in order not to “coincide” with the TIF, which starts on September 7, trade unionists of the party are asking the president Stefanos Kasselakis.
“We consider the active presence of our party, SYRIZA-PS, the official opposition of the country, in the TIF, these days, necessary and imperative, so that our party can give a dynamic presence next to the workers, side by side with the people wage earners who suffer the tragic consequences of ND’s neoliberal policies that make the rich richer and the poor poorer,” they state in their letter.
The eight members who sign the letter emphasize that if the request for postponement is not accepted, they will not attend the meeting of the Central Committee in order to be present at the demonstrations.

On September 7-8, the Central Committee of SYRIZA-PS is going to meet, days when, as is known, the Thessaloniki International Fair takes place and a number of labor mobilizations, demonstrations and protest actions are planned, against the most anti-popular government of all times, the ND government of K. Mitsotakis.
The whole world of Labor, Federations, Labor Centers, primary unions and of course GSEE and ADEDY will be there to express in every way their opposition to the anti-labor middle ages that the ND government has imposed on the country.
We consider the active presence of our party, SYRIZA-PS, the official opposition of the country, in the TIF, these days, necessary and imperative, so that our party can give a dynamic presence next to the working men and women, side by side with its people wage earners who suffer the tragic consequences of ND’s neoliberal policies that make the rich richer and the poor poorer.
Therefore, pointing out that it is the first time that SYRIZA puts a party process on top of an annual planned kinematic process of the workers, we request again and in writing, the postponement of the K.E. meeting. of SYRIZA-P.S. on September 7-8 and its transfer in the next period, so that the executives and members of our party will attend the mobilizations at the TIF, showing in practice that SYRIZA-P.S. always stands together with the society that claims and fights for better living and working conditions.
In the event that the postponement of the meeting of the K.E. of SYRIZA-P.S. on September 7-8 is not possible, we inform you again that the members of the K.E. as we have trade union status, we will not attend the K.E. meeting. to be present in the labor mobilizations of the unions, GSEE and ADEDY, next to our colleagues, doing our duty as trade unionists and as politicized progressive citizens.
