Baja California is preparing to be the epicenter of tourism in Mexico by being chosen as the host of the Tianguis Turístico México 2025. The exhibition “Baja California in Masaryk” inaugurated by the Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Torruco Marqués, and his state counterpart, Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez, will be in effect at Punto México during September, highlighting the state’s tourist attractions such as La Bufadora, the beaches of Rosarito and San Felipe, the Wine Route, the Magical Town of Tecate, and the Magical Neighborhood of La Chinesca.
According to the Secretary of Tourism, the exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to explore the rich culture of the Yuman people, marvel at the natural landscapes and taste the revolutionary cuisine of Baja California. In addition, visitors will be able to see the artisanal products made of beads, leather and plant fibers, as well as enjoy the photographic exhibition by artist Jorge Sánchez, which shows the essence of the state’s indigenous peoples.
Baja California is known for its spectacular marine geyser, La Bufadora, and its paradisiacal beaches. The Wine Route, with more than 60 wineries, and the picturesque Magical Town of Tecate, are other great attractions. Soon, the painting of facades in Tecate will begin, as well as the creation of murals in La Chinesca, as part of the Magical Color Routes strategy, to attract more tourists.
The state also stands out for its air dynamics, with the Tijuana airport connecting with 40 national airports and the port of Ensenada receiving 320 cruise ships in 2023. Baja California is a gateway for tourism from Europe and the Asia-Pacific economic zone, and receives a large number of American tourists.
The choice of Baja California as the venue for the Tianguis Turístico México 2025 promises positive results in business meetings and growth of the tourism sector, fulfilling the vision of the current administration to make tourism a tool for social reconciliation.
