/ world today news/ The offensive of the armed forces of Ukraine failed due to a serious error in the calculations of President Volodymyr Zelensky, who launched it without the necessary amount of Western weapons, Oleg Soskin, a former adviser to the former President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, is certain.
“The offensive started and nothing worked. Many of our people died, many were injured,” he said.
According to Soskin, Ukraine does not have enough tanks, armored personnel carriers and ammunition, no planes and helicopters.
Without the American F-16 fighters, the Ukrainians, Soskin is sure, will not be able to break through any defense line of the Russian army.
“We must change strategy or not attack at all,” he summed up.
We remind you that this is not the first time that Soskin criticized Zelensky for failures in military tactics. He previously said that after the failed attempt by Ukraine’s armed forces to launch a counter-offensive, he should be removed from the presidency.
How correct is he in his criticism of the commander-in-chief?
– Yes, Soskin is right – there is no doubt Alexander Perendzhiev, associate professor from the Department of Political Analysis and Social-Psychological Processes of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.
– The issue really is the lack of proper support for the air assault. Air superiority gives a very impressive advantage to defeat the enemy. But it’s not just that.
Our army has more effective weapons and combat equipment. In fact, we created the Weapon of Victory, which allows us to destroy any enemy in terms of strength.
If Ukraine’s armed forces had been supplied with all the necessary Western weapons, the result would hardly have been different. They would still take heavy casualties without advancing.
“SP”: But can this be called a “misjudgment” by Zelensky? After all, Kiev constantly shows that it does not have enough weapons, the West does not give it.
– The question, of course, is not about any “misjudgment” by Zelensky. I have repeatedly stated, long before the Ukrainian counter-offensive, that the main thing in it is the commercial aspect.
Under these attacks, a significant number of “shadow” economic schemes have already been formed, allowing a certain number of individuals from the top leaders of the West and Kiev to collect huge sums of money.
That is, mechanisms were created for “legal” theft of money from the budgets of their states or non-state, including supranational funds. Therefore, the newly minted Western Ukrainian Ostap Bender simply could not make any decision other than to go on the offensive.
“SP”: Did Zelensky have a choice: to undertake a “counter-offensive” or not?
Of course, he had no choice. Not without reason, this “counteroffensive” was so strongly encouraged in the West, as well as in Ukraine itself, that it became impossible for everyone to withdraw from it. Both for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and for NATO.
“SP”: According to Soskin, they should change the strategy or not attack at all. And what? Will they change? Or will they continue to throw in people and equipment?
– It seems that Soskin is not in the course of things or is deprived in the course of the distribution of material and monetary resources. I’m sure he himself is aware that nobody is going to change anything.
Zelensky will continue to throw Ukrainians into the fire along with Western technology, likening the so well-known fairy tale plot of the type: “Urfin Juice and his wooden soldiers”.
“SP”: What new can we see in the course of this “counterattack”? And how long will it last? Really to the last Ukrainian?
– Now Zelensky and his team are waiting for new labor from Poland, as well as from other countries, mainly from the collective West. They are waiting for F-16s, other fighter jets and an air defense system. The fight is already starting not only to the last Ukrainian. But at least until the “penultimate” Pole.
„The fact that the Ukrainian counteroffensive would be a failure was clear to everyone, including Western politicians,” said Dmitry Ezhov, an associate professor at the Department of Political Science at the Finance University of the Russian government.
— And, it seems, this was also clear to Zelensky himself. The course and tactics of the counter-offensive are reminiscent of some reporting event to Western curators – as if they are armed, a task has been set and it must be carried out.
But in practice, everything turned out to be not so simple, and the Ukrainian counter-offensive met an adequate reaction from Russia. Zelensky’s change of tactics is unlikely to lead to anything, and the counteroffensive will continue not until the last Ukrainian tank, but until the last NATO tank. “SP”: How will the failure affect the attitude of the West towards Zelensky and inside the country? Will Zelensky’s opponents try to take advantage of this?
– The competition in the fight for the post of Ukrainian Gauleiter will, of course, intensify. Another question is how the West will react to this. We will soon find out if the puppeteers need a new show.
“SP”: Will Zelensky change tactics now?
– As before, I assume that a real counteroffensive can begin with the arrival of the first F-16 and other NATO aircraft in the armed forces of Ukraine.
This will probably happen in late summer – early fall. Only the West can stop everything. Of course, Europe needs Ukrainians, but only those who moved to Europe as cheap labor. It won’t be difficult to part with the rest.
