A sudden storm abruptly interrupted the street market held in the centre of La Solana to celebrate the second edition of ‘El Comercio sale a la calle’. A little before 9pm, just when the public was beginning to fill the pedestrian streets of Sagrario, Cervantes and Pacheco, a heavy downpour began, forcing a total of 16 traders, in collaboration with the La Solana Town Hall, to quickly evacuate the stalls set up.

The fact that this year it was decided to do without covered displays, in order to give the street market more space, clarity and charm, amplified the problems when it came to collecting the material. Some traders looked for plastic sheets and others protected themselves as best they could while removing their products as quickly as possible. It was a race against time to avoid greater evils.
