The games in the Zelda series are among the gaming highlights on all Nintendo consoles. This is no different on the Nintendo Switch. However, with the new title The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, the Japanese video game company is also breaking new ground.
The kingdom of Hyrule is in danger – and this time it’s up to Princess Zelda to save it from destruction. In The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, which will be released on September 26th for Nintendo Switch, the inhabitants of Hyrule disappear into strange cracks that have appeared all over the land. Accompanied by the mysterious fairy Tri, Zelda must explore these cracks to save her kingdom.
Zelda instead of Link…
In their search for the missing, Zelda and Tri also explore the so-called World of Nothingness within the cracks. Each access point leads to a specific location – and some to dungeons whose well-kept secrets are just waiting to be revealed.
While exploring the world of nothingness, the princess comes across a mysterious sword that allows her to enter a powerful swordsman mode for a limited time. With this ability, she can strike down enemies single-handedly. The sword gauge can be refilled by collecting so-called Energia from the world of nothingness.
Hyrule is also home to many quirky and helpful characters. Dampé, the clockwork engineer, is one of them and has a knack for making automatons. These inventions can unleash powerful effects, but break if they take too much damage.
The new trailer on Nintendo’s YouTube channel sheds light on what lies within these cracks and how they shape the duo’s adventure.
