Gordon Herbert’s coaching staff for FC Bayern’s basketball team is complete. One assistant comes from his own family and one has an NBA star as a brother.

Herbert junior was most recently an assistant coach in Crailsheim for two years and also his father’s assistant on the German national team. Parker, in turn, is the brother of former NBA star Tony Parker. Berrocal has a total of 13 years of experience as a coach in the Euroleague, including at FC Barcelona. The previous assistant coaches Djordje Adzic (Ljubljana), Ignacio Juan (Baskonia) and Demond Greene (destination unknown) are leaving the German double winners.

Gordon Herbert previously coached the German national team. At the end of his successful era, he missed out on a medal with the team at the Olympics in Paris in the bronze medal match against Serbia (83:93) in mid-August. The team’s first public appearance is scheduled for a tournament from September 5th to 7th in Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana. Herbert’s new team will then play its Bundesliga debut on September 20th (8 p.m.) at home against the Niners Chemnitz.
