A woman stabbed and wounded five people on a bus in western Germany on Friday night, a week after a deadly knife attack shook the country, police said.
The 32-year-old suspect was arrested after the incident in the town of Siegen and there is no indication that it was a terrorist attack, police said in a statement.
Three of the victims are in critical condition, one with serious injuries and the fifth suffered minor injuries.
Germany was rocked last week by a stabbing attack that left three dead and eight wounded in the western city of Solingen. A 26-year-old Syrian man was arrested for the attack, sparking a debate over German migration and asylum policies.
The attack in Solingen prompted the government to announce new restrictions on carrying knives in public gatherings and on long-distance transport, as well as to reduce benefits for some undocumented immigrants.
