This was stated by acting Prime Minister Ognyan Gerdzhikov before the Annual Awards for Responsible Business, a BGNES reporter reported.
Gerdzhikov also said that “in the morning on Nova TV, it was precisely the journalistic impulse that worked in him, by omitting the obvious consideration that he is part of the Prime Minister’s office, and in the conditions of an election campaign it is absolutely unacceptable to break the rules. He, unfortunately, he violated them, and this is a sufficient reason, albeit with great regret, to fire Mr. Garelov,” said Gerdzhikov.
Regarding whether he received an SMS from Boyko Borisov, Gerdzhikov was categorical “it doesn’t matter if there are SMS, if there are complaints, if there are chants. It doesn’t matter at all, the matter is purely principled. It is a matter of law and morality. There is my decision in principle. That’s it,” he said.
Regarding the danger of Turkey opening the borders and refugees entering the country, Gerdzhikov said that in the morning he had a meeting with the Minister of Internal Affairs, DANS, with all the special services and there the situation was reported, including at the border, about the measures being taken take, for the preparation in the event that reinforcement of the border becomes necessary. So, measures have been taken quite rightly. Additional measures because it is expected that a certain flow of migrants may occur in the coming days, Gerdzhikov said.
