American rapper Fatman Scoop has died, his manager announced today, a day after the 53-year-old artist collapsed on stage during a concert.
Known for his songs “Be Faithful” and “It Takes Scoop”, the rapper was performing in Hamden, Connecticut and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors were unable to revive him, according to several US media.
“It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Isaac Freeman III, known professionally as Fatman Scoop,” Birch’s manager Birch Michael wrote on Facebook.
“You taught me how to become the person I am today. I love you Scoop. Thank you so much for everything you’ve given me,” he added in his post, which was accompanied by a photo of the rapper.
