Dragomir Stoynev, leader of the list of the “BSP for Bulgaria” coalition in the Starozagorsk constituency for the upcoming parliamentary elections, declared for a fundamental change in education. At a meeting with teachers in Kazanlak, he shared BSP’s ideas for the development of education. “Let’s return the educational role, respect and honor to the teacher. Let his voice be heard”, urged Stoinev. According to him, this is a cause for which no money should be spared.

Stoynev presented the BSP’s program for the development of education, which includes funds up to 5% of GDP, changes in the Law on school and preschool education, the introduction of only one textbook on the relevant subject, etc.

“Education is also key to business needs. That is why we envisage the creation of a national map “Education-Economy” and together with business we will prepare the necessary personnel”, explained Stoynev.

According to him, the state order in higher education for specialties that business needs will return. “However, it will be necessary to modernize the material base, as well as allocate money for development activities,” he added.

Improving the infrastructure, the quality of education and the salary are the main priorities for the party in education. According to Stoynev, the development of education for the better is also something that can unite politicians.

“Education should be perceived as a value by all Bulgarian citizens, not as a service,” candidate for MP Ivan Krastev, former Deputy Minister of Education, told the teachers.

According to him, it is the most ambitious and the longest investment program of a country. “Therefore, in the BSP program, this is the largest and most detailed section,” he added.
