After a plane crash, the husband and child of American Suzie, who lives in Tokyo, are missing. Sad and full of uncertainty as to whether they both survived the accident, she receives the house robot Sunny as a gift from her husband’s employer, a technology company. He is supposed to comfort Suzie. She also discovers that her husband lied to her and that he was not responsible for building refrigerators, but with further development of these household robots. This makes Suzie question her previous marriage and investigate what else her partner has been hiding from her. A gripping science fiction thriller set in dystopian Tokyo.
