Description
At the beginning of the 1920s, the fateful career of the initially unknown ex-soldier and failed artist Adolf Hitler began in Munich. The Austrian had fought in the army of the German Reich in the First World War. After the war ended, he was penniless. No one suspected the influence he would soon gain. As a speaker for the still young splinter party NSDAP, he became a local celebrity in Munich’s burgeoning right-wing extremist scene. Month by month, his following grew. Hitler fought for power in the Bavarian capital and eventually in the whole of Germany.
