– Lauri Antti Akusti was baptized and named at the time of rowan berries and sunflowers. Gentle wind, rumbling thunder, summer heat and pouring rain. All of this was the weather at our beautiful christening party today, Saarikko wrote.
The member of parliament from the center had dreamed of a third child with his spouse for a long time.
– It was a game of thought for a long time, but that idea probably wouldn’t have been maintained if there hadn’t been a force of nature-like idea that this would be a great thing, Saarikko said in an interview with Iltalehti in June.
The pregnancy raised a lot of thoughts in the MP.
– The experience that getting pregnant is easy for yourself has made me think a lot about the issues of involuntary infertility. I would like that in Finland the wish for a number of children could be fulfilled for more and more people. This means, for example, investing in infertility treatments.
– It is an incredible gift that it has been possible to receive all this.
Corrected on 8/27/2024 at 1:48 p.m. Annika Saariko’s child’s name is Lauri Antti Akusti, not Aukusti, as we read earlier in the story.
