CONTENTS
Despite their separation, Marion (Laura Tonke) and Andi (Moritz Bleibtreu) consider themselves model parents and take fifty-fifty care of their eleven-year-old son Milan (Valentin Thatenhorst).
However, their summer vacation in Italy, which Marion’s new boyfriend Robin (David Kross) also takes part in, reveals surprising gaps in their upbringing: Milan is a spoiled only child who deliberately plays his parents off against each other, drinks espresso, but can’t even swim.
Time for a new chapter in parental care. Marion and Andi decide to tackle the shortcomings of their parenting together and in the process become closer again.
While Milan experiences his first tender love on the campsite next to the luxury hotel and his parents rediscover each other, the hope of being able to come together as a family again grows…

“Alles Fifty Fifty” gets to the bottom of the parenting questions of our time with heart and humor: How many boundaries does my child need and shouldn’t parents generally loosen up a bit so that children can gain their own experiences? How much time with digital devices is still healthy? Can different parenting styles harm the child? And is the desire for family harmony in patchwork families realistic? The award-winning filmmaker Alireza Golafshan (“Die Goldfische”, “JGA – Jasmin. Gina. Anna.”) looks lovingly and intelligently at his characters, who are outstandingly cast, above all with Moritz Bleibtreu (“Lammbock”, “Ich war noch niemals in New York”), Laura Tonke (“Wann wird es endlich wieder so, wie es nie war”, “Mängelexemplar”), David Kross (“Trautmann”, “Ballon”), Axel Stein (“Die Goldfische”, TV series “Hausmeister Krause”) and up-and-coming talent Valentin Thatenhorst.
