For a long time it was unclear whether “Riddick 4: Furya” would actually be released in cinemas. But Vin Diesel’s science fiction passion project is now really coming – now the “Fast & Furious” superstar has shared the first set photos and they make you want more!

After some teething issues, filming for “Fast & Furious 11” is scheduled to begin in early 2025 – but until then, Vin Diesel will be devoting himself to an absolute dream project and will finally continue his “Riddick” franchise after eleven (!) years. After “Pitch Black” (2000), “The Chronicles of Riddick” (2004) and “Riddick: The Complete Series” (2013), the fourth part is titled “Riddick 4: Furya” – and now the first set photos have finally been released.
The action star announced this on his Instagram profile. In the pictures we not only catch a glimpse of Vin Diesel in his Riddick outfit on a rock face, but also see the (presumably?) last Furian in a cool desert vehicle. By now, any remaining doubts as to whether the sci-fi sequel will actually happen should have been dispelled. “Riddick 4: Furya” has not yet been released in theaters, but since filming has been underway since August 26, we may be able to enjoy the space blockbuster in the second half of 2025.
This is the plot of “Riddick 4: Furya”
Of course, the fourth foray into the martial sci-fi world is again all about the muscle-bound antihero Richard B. Riddick (Vin Diesel), who is not exactly known as a chatterbox and prefers to let his fists (and weapons) do the talking. In “Riddick 4: Furya” he returns to his home planet – and discovers that he is not the last of his kind after all!
A real surprise – and he soon realises that his fellow creatures are more similar to him than he thought possible. Together they must now fight against a new, great evil.
In terms of direction and screenplay, the Riddick films remain true to themselves. As with the previous films, David Twohy (“Below”) is once again responsible. It is currently unknown who will be in front of the camera alongside Vin Diesel.
By the way, it seems as if some of the “Fast & Furious 11” stars have not yet received a script for the latest installment in the racing series. You can read more about it here:
