Erik Sels (36) from Duffel, who has been the editor-in-chief of the popular TV program ‘Huizenjagers’ for several years, is opening his own real estate office. With Pandenjagers, a name with a clear nod to the past, Sels is starting his own office with a new and innovative approach to the real estate sector.
During his time as editor-in-chief of ‘Huizenjagers’, Erik Sels discovered his passion for buildings. By working with hundreds of real estate agents from around the country, he was able to prove the need for innovation. “Many of these brokers offer the same basic services. It also turned out that prospective buyers had bad experiences with real estate agents while searching for their dream home, as they were sometimes given incorrect or incomplete information about a home.”
That’s why he started his own modern real estate office: Pandenjagers, a clear nod to the past. “With Pandenjagers I have developed a concept in which transparency and innovation are of utmost importance. Buyers want accurate information and they also appreciate a real estate agent telling them honestly about the less positive aspects of a home,” says Sels.
Drone photos
As a former TV producer, imagery is a crucial part of Pandenjagers’ approach. Each property is carefully presented using high quality photography, drone footage and videos developed specifically for social media. Also thanks to AI applications (artificial intelligence, ed.) we always get the best out of each property, so that each house is presented at its best and attracts the right buyers.
The Pandenjagers office, located in the center of Duffel, has now opened its doors and the first impressions are very positive. “People are enthusiastic about the professional image and the way the office works. The opening of the office certainly attracted a lot of attention. For example, there is a large screen in the shop window, showing special aerial images of Duffel.”
“It shows how beautiful this area is. People regularly stand at the display case for a few minutes to look at the images. Anyone who looks in can also see the faithful office dog Marie,” he laughs. The Golden Retriever puts a smile on the face of everyone who comes in. And she is already very successful on social media.
Duffel
The choice of Duffel as a foundation is self-evident. “I live with my wife and two children in Duffel-Oost. In addition, our children go to school in Duffel and are connected to the local Chiro and football,” said Sels.
Commercially, Duffel is also experiencing strong growth in the real estate market. “Duffel is very popular because of its location: quiet but still close to the E19. We see that young people who leave home prefer to continue living in this area. In addition, there is a strong increase in young people from the southern municipalities of Antwerp who come here to study. Real estate prices in this area are very interesting to them,” says Sels. As a result, prices in Duffel continue to rise every year.
