Arcist bloc does not approve a $118 million loan in the Chamber of Deputies | The Alteño

Early this Thursday, the Chamber of Deputies refused to approve the credit bill of more than $118 million for the municipalities of Chimoré and Ivirgarzama in Cochabamba, Guanay in La Paz and Monteagudo in Chuquisaca.

“According to the results obtained, the bill 489/2023-2024 is rejected,” concluded the acting president Verónica Challco when he heard the result of the investigation, amid applause from the legislators of Evista and the load -challenges.

Of the 103 deputies who were present in the session that began on Wednesday, 49 voted early this Thursday for approval and 54 to reject the project in his large station, so it did not go to a detailed agreement, as it was established by the management.

The loan of more than $118 million was aimed at strengthening climate risk management in the road sector and will improve the climate resilience and safety of bridges and road sections in the country.

Legislators from the opposition Community Citizens’ Alliance bench (CC) denounced the “manipulation of the electronic vote” and pointed out the head of the MAS bench, Jerges Mercado.
