Meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba in Brussels, during the informal European Foreign Affairs Council, the CFSP (High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy of the EU) Josep Borrell asked that the missiles provided by the EU countries of the European Union. it must be used “without restrictions against Russian military targets”, meaning “the weapons we have given to Ukraine must be fully operational and the restrictions must be removed to allow the Ukrainians to target the places from which attacks on the Russians came. Otherwise the weapons are useless.” Kuleba asked for more weapons, also because the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky boasts of the attacks in Russia and the occupied territories in the region Kursk, the situation on the internal front is “difficult”, with the Russians taking town after town and today we have reached the strategic town of Chasiv Yara.
Therefore, the warmest and most resistant to the European Commission of the USA are always asking for a definite increase in the level of conflict by consolidating attacks on Russian territory, an initiative that could respond that increasingly encouraged from Moscow.
Borrell also reported that “We have already transferred 1.4 billion euros that were seized from Russia’s frozen funds, and in this case also a symmetrical amount is expected from the east.”
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani opposed Borrell, who said that “Each country is free to decide how it is right to use the weapons sent to Ukraine.” We have sent defensive weapons to a large extent: now we are going to send the new Samp-T battery, which is defensive and cannot be used in the territory of Russia. We repeat that we are not at war with Russia, that NATO is not at war with Russia and therefore Italy is still in a position to use our weapons within its territory Ukraine”.
