Description
Even if the number of violent crimes is not increasing, it remains at a high level. Brutality, on the other hand, has increased significantly: kicks to the head, the use of weapons, all of this shows an increasing lack of inhibition. Knife attacks are particularly dangerous. Police statistics show up to 40% more knife attacks. Knife attacks often end in death, because knives are an extremely dangerous weapon, even in untrained hands. Journalist Michael Krons has arranged to meet defense expert Michel Ruge in St. Pauli. Together they will investigate why brutality is increasing and why knives play a particularly dangerous role. They will also speak to the Interior Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia, Herbert Reul, about the problems facing the police and politicians in the long term.
