Jakarta – Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah’s divorce drama is still in the spotlight. After almost 11 years together, the biggest question that arises now is, what will happen to Betrand Peto Putra Onsu, or who is known as Onyo?
Chris Sam Siwu, Sarwendah’s lawyer, said Onyo was mature enough to prove his own opinion. Therefore, the decision will be in his hands.
“Onyo is an adult, so he has the right to decide for himself who he wants to live with,” said Chris Sam Siwu in South Jakarta, Tuesday (27/8 ).
However, even though Onyo has the freedom to make his choice, Ruben and Sarwendah still bear a great responsibility, both legally and morally.
“If you have adopted a child, there are legal and moral obligations. You cannot have a child who is adopted and neglected. Even if Onyo gets his own money, he still has to to be responsible as a parent,” continued Chris Sam Siwu.
At the same time, Minola Sebayar, Ruben Onsu’s lawyer, chose not to comment much on what happened to Betrand Peto.
“Later, ask Ruben after the birth. We can’t say anything yet because he’s still there,” said Minola Sebayar.
The divorce trial of Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah held at the South Jakarta District Court was postponed again on Tuesday (27/8). The trial with the record of witness testimony had to be postponed because the Chief Justice was unable to attend.
In fact, Ruben Onsu’s team was ready to bring in a babysitter as a key witness.
The next examination schedule will be held again on 3 September 2024.
