Daddio – A Night in New York
New York at night. A young woman (Dakota Johnson) gets into a taxi at John F. Kennedy International Airport that is supposed to take her to her apartment in Manhattan. On the way, she chats repeatedly on her cell phone, but also gets into conversation with the driver (Sean Penn). He turns out to be as talkative as he is curious. Little by little, an intense conversation develops between the two strangers, in which personal secrets are gradually revealed. – FSK 12 years and up.
Born to Be Wild – A band called Steppenwolf
Steppenwolf is considered one of the most legendary and at the same time most enigmatic bands in the history of rock music. On the border between the mainstream and the psychedelic underground, their song “Born to Be Wild” opened the cult film “Easy Rider” – and became the anthem of an entire generation. Steppenwolf’s new, hard sound was a stab in the heart of the “Summer of Love” and ended the hippie era. – FSK 12 years and up.
The performances take place in the Schauburg, Horster Straße 6. Admission costs 6 euros for one performance or 54 euros for a 10-show ticket. Schoolchildren, students and holders of the GE pass receive discounts.
