In particular, the facade is thickened for better insulation and sun shades will be installed on the windows. On the classroom side, a new ventilation system was installed with an air handling unit. The latter allows the air quality to be regulated and the temperature to be reduced economically. In addition, photovoltaic panels will be added to the roof of the sports hall for an energy saving of 39%. Renovation that cost 4.8 million euros to the city.

Projects without results for the beginning of the school year

In Jules Ferry, for example, 21 trees will be planted to provide more shade for children and outdoor sports and educational spaces will complete everything. The courtyard was also waterproofed to encourage rainwater infiltration. “The water will be retained by infiltration to supply the water tables. They will follow a path through the courtyard to flow into the green areas“, explained Vanessa Villeneuve, project manager of the site, which will cost 780,000 euros. library at the Anatole France school.

Despite these different projects, the beginning of the school year will go as planned for the students. Most of the ongoing projects will not have much impact on the running of the courses. However, some classes are nested in modules before they are final.
