On October 5th we can look forward to a new film from the series “Wilsberg”. As is now customary, the episode entitled “Blut geleckt” will be shown one week before the TV premiere in the main channel of ZDF in the ZDFmedia library will be available. The script was once again written by Sandra Lüpkes and Wilsberg creator Jürgen Kehrer, which promises us a closer proximity to a topic that is typical for Münster.
The investigation into the brutal murder of a young market vendor naturally leads to the weekly market on the cathedral square. Detective inspectors Overbeck and Drechshage and private detective Georg Wilsberg face competition from case analyst and self-proclaimed serial murder expert Dr. Elmar Lenz. He has a theory about the motive for the murder and offers the criminal investigation department his help. René Rösch, who was only recently released from prison, is soon suspected of the murder.
It was Anna Springer who put him in prison. She has used a break from her job in recent weeks to write a true crime book about her experiences as a detective. But the joy of the success of her book launch does not last long. Soon there are increasing signs that someone is trying to kill her.

It is easy to conclude that the dangerous events are connected to one of the old criminal cases that Anna deals with in her book. She is under additional pressure from her editor Lucia Hillbeck, who is pushing for a second book to be published soon. Wilsberg’s excellent powers of deduction are once again required to solve this complicated case and free Anna from her life-threatening situation. Fortunately, he can once again rely on the active support of his friend Ekki Talkötter.

The episode was directed by Philipp Osthus, who has already shot several Wilsberg episodes. Among them is the episode “A Detective and a Gentleman”, which premiered in January 2024 and was also written based on a script by Sandra Lüpkes and Jürgen Kehrer. Wilsberg actor Leonard Lansink revealed to us last year at the “Ufergespräch” that the episodes based on scripts by the Wilsberg inventor contain a lot of Münster local color. The new episode “Blut geleckt” will, by the way, celebrate an open-air premiere at the Promi-Kellnern next Sunday.

Ralf comes from the north, but has been living in Münster since 1992. He is particularly interested in music and culture, but also in history and city stories. He hosts “Easy Listening – Music after work” on Antenne Münster, a community radio program. Ralf sometimes takes some of his records to one of Münster’s pubs to play, where his favorite music from the 50s, 60s and occasionally 70s fits.
