(ANSA) – MILAN, AUGUST 27 – There is a suspect in the investigation into the death of Alexander Reyes, a 27-year-old Peruvian who was hit in Pioltello, in the Milan area, on August 18 and died two days later in hospital. He is a 23-year-old Ivorian identified as the driver of the white rental Peugeot that allegedly ran over the young man. The car was tracked down last week by the Carabinieri in a parking lot in Pioltello and seized. The young man showed up at the police station in the following days to give his version of the facts and explained that there had been an argument between him and Reyes, who had not known each other up until that moment, in the street on Via Cilea. The 27-year-old was reportedly drunk and, when the car started up again after the argument, he allegedly hurled himself against it and was run over. More information could come from the autopsy on the victim’s body, scheduled for next Thursday. (ANSA).
