The festival was opened on Monday at the “Latvija” concert hall.
At the opening ceremony, this year’s guest artists were introduced, as well as the performance of Patricijas Anna Doniņa, a graduate of the Ventspils High School of Music and multiple participant of the “Ventspils Groove” festivals, with the group.
The festival will end on Friday, August 30, in the amphitheater of the “Latvija” concert hall.
In the first part of the concert, the ensembles of the participants of the festival will play, after having prepared their concerts in master classes. In the second part, guitarist Matīss Čudars plays with Edvins Ozola and Ivars Arutjunjans.
All public events of the festival are free.
The “Novadu balssis” project is financed by the Media Support Fund from Latvian state budget funds. SIA “Kurzemes Vārds” is responsible for the prepared content.
