U6 and U7 only to Bockenheimer Warte / rail replacement service set up
From Saturday, August 31st, around 4 a.m. to Monday, September 2nd, around 3 a.m., all subway lines U6 and U7 will only run between Ostbahnhof or Enkheim and Bockenheimer Warte.
During the work, some of the trains at Bockenheimer Warte will be running from the opposite track. The Frankfurt Transport Company (VGF) and the municipal local transport company traffiQ ask passengers to pay attention to the passenger information on the platform.
A rail replacement bus service has been set up between Bockenheimer Warte and Heerstraße. Passengers heading towards Hausen change at Industriehof to the Metrobus lines M72 or M73 towards Nordwestzentrum.
An alternative could be to take the S-Bahn to Westbahnhof, where you can change directly to the Metrobus line M73.
What is being done?
Switch sleepers are being replaced at the switch at Industriehof. The VGF is also using the closure to carry out preparatory work for the connection of a coupling circuit breaker. When this is in use, it will improve energy recovery during braking operations on the trains, among other things.
RMV timetable information is up to date
traffiQ and the VGF ask you to allow a little more travel time. Via the RMVgo app and on www.rmv-frankfurt.de Passengers can find out about timetables and their best connections. The staff on the RMV service telephone number 069 24 24 80 24 are also available around the clock and are happy to provide advice.
