Berlin meets the World – Hidden Treasures of Culture

The year 2024 is beginning and we want to set an example for a better future through dialogue, understanding, respect for the interests of others, but also the active promotion of commonalities. There is no good unless you do it.

We believe that pursuing and nurturing commonalities on the basis of jointly agreed rules is still the best answer to what may divide us here and there. With the new format of the Capital Talks, we want to reflect this approach and offer selected speakers from politics, diplomacy, business and culture as well as equally selected participants from society the opportunity to exchange ideas. Respect for the other person without having to share his or her views in every respectis just as much a part of our approach as the confidentiality of the spoken word. In this respect, the generally accepted „Chatham Rules“which we ask you to observe.

We are particularly pleased to have already secured some very interesting speakers for this opening event, who will share their views with us and help to expand our understanding of the other side. The language of the event will be German, with the exception of the English-speaking speakers. See the program in the attachment.

In view of the format and the spatial conditions, participation in an expression of interest can only be made on the basis of a confirmation of participation by email. This also states the location of the event and the safety requirements.
