Actor Pierre Bokma (68) had expressed a preference for Hanneke Groenteman (85) as interviewer in the run-up to his appearance on the TV programme ‘Zomergasten’. He said this on Sunday at the start of the broadcast on NPO 2. Coincidentally, Hanneke had also indicated to the programme makers that she would like to talk to Pierre. “This evening can’t be spoiled anymore”, Hanneke then stated.
“And then it turned out you also had some kind of preference”
Pierre was initially supposed to be a guest at last year Summer guestsbut due to circumstances that didn’t work out. When they asked again for this summer, and Adriaan van Dis would be the presenter, Pierre agreed. “I know him well, I trust him too. But he called in sick. And then I was actually a bit relieved, because: then I didn’t have to. Saved by the bell”, Pierre told Hanneke. “But then they said: we’re just going to continue. Gulp”, Pierre laughed. “And the emergency concept now is that we have a different presenter for each guest. We have Joris.. Hanneke… Hanneke Groenteman? Yes. And then it turned out that you also had a kind of preference.”
Hanneke, the Summer guests in 1998 for a season, the broadcast started with Pierre in a way that was unusual for the program. She showed a fragment of a series in which Pierre played the lead role last year, The Jewish Council. After the segment, Hanneke was visibly emotional. “I just can’t see that,” she said. Pierre then explained how the role of chairman David Cohen has changed him personally.
Later in the evening, the Zomergasten film that Pierre has selected will be broadcast on NPO 2, We need to talk about Kevin.
